Winter Sports Pioneer Rally Wednesday, November 13th at 7 pm Any athlete and parent interested in participating in a winter sport, please plan on attending. This is an important event to get information about policies and team rules directly from the coaches. You can also take the opportunity to ask any questions that you have related to the upcoming season. Make sure you have an updated physical for this school year before the season begins. Clare Athletics Important Dates to Remember Hope everyone is having a great summer. Here are some important dates as we move closer to the start of the fall athletic season. Physicals need to be in before you can practice. Do not wait for the day before to get this taken care of. July 29-31- Volleyball and Football Team Camp Aug 5-9- Preseason down time- Non sport specific conditioning (lifting)allowed. No team drills Aug 6- Winter Sports Pioneer Rally- 6 pm in High School Gym - If you have a son or daughter playing a fall sport is is important to be there. Please show up and sit with your family. This will cover all policies and goals moving into the 24-25 school year. Aug 12- First day of fall sports (Cross Country will be gone this week at camp) - Important- Dual sport Forms are due before practice begins on this day. Get in contact with coach before he first practice. You will not be allowed to dual sport without a signed plan from both coaches involved before practice begins. Forms are available in the athletic office. Aug 13-14- Teachers will be in school Aug 14- Freshman orientation and open houses- All freshman and families should meet in the high school gym at 6 pm. Aug 19- First day of school- half day Together!

Softball Semi-Final Details Clare vs. Ottawa-Lake Whiteford 10 am @Michigan State University Tickets: Tickets for Semi-finals and finals are $11 and only sold on gofan https://gofan.co/app/school/MHSAA (no cash sales at the gate) Parking: There is heavy construction on US-127 and the surrounding areas. Please plan ahead for delays and detours. Parking areas include football field, IM West, and Jenison Fieldhouse. Expect a parking fee. NFHS Streaming: https://www.nfhsnetwork.com/events/mhsaa-mi/gam0db34f8462 SPECTATOR POLICIES – Student and adult spectators are expected to observe the rules of good sportsmanship and conduct. Some specific policies as follows: • No use of alcohol or tobacco is permitted on the park grounds • Artificial noisemakers are not to be used during gameplay and may be confiscated by tournament administration if necessary. • No pets or bicycles will be permitted inside Pentecostal Plaza • All spectators must wear shirts • Cheers of encouragement should be in support of teams, not directed toward opposing teams/individuals • Abuse of umpires will not be allowed • Sunflower seeds are not permitted inside the plaza - No coolers are permitted. Team will be leaving at 1:30 today and driving downtown with a police escort. Please come out and cheer on the girls as they head to the Final four! Please travel safe and abide by their rules. Last one to leave Clare please turn out the lights! Together!

Youth Track Camp Track camp scheduled for Thursday and Friday will proceed as usual. If there is inclement weather, athletes will move into the turf room. If you have not signed up and would like your child to attend please contact Kyle McKown.

Free Sports Physical May 29 and June 3 from 5:30-7:30 To participate in athletics for the 2024-2025 school year you will need a physical dated after April 15, 2024. Any physicals before that date can not be used for next school year. These physicals can include athletes in 6th-12th grades. There is no practice until we have a physical in hand. Spring Sports Parents Night If your son or daughter is planning on playing a spring sport, we will have a parents meeting at 6 pm on Thursday, March 7 in the High School Gym. It will involve a short meeting and break out sessions with the coach. This is very important to understanding how each sport works.
